You can download wallpapers for your iPhone or iPod touch, watch scary make-up tutorials and find amazing recipes for tricky treats. Find it all in this convenient Halloween app.
There are nine different Halloween themed wallpapers to choose from. I couldn’t figure out how to download them to my device, so I just took a screenshot of the one I wanted to use. For those who don’t know how to take a screenshot with the iPhone, just press the home button and the screen lock button at the same time. Images will automatically be saved to your camera roll.
The video section offers a funny short film, a light show, a National Geographic history video and five amazing makeup tutorials that have been compiled from YouTube for convenient viewing. The makeup tutorials are presented so that anyone can follow the easy steps right at home.
The recipes are delightfully frightful and seem like they will work great at parties. I will be sure to try the Jello-O “Blood” Worms recipe at parties I will be attending this Halloween, I can’t wait to gross out my friends. There are also recipes for making brains out of cottage cheese and pineapple, and floating heads in apple cider. There are currently six different ones to drool over.
The app promises to be continually updated to bring new, spooky Halloween fun. Check back often to see what new makeup tutorials or party recipes will be added. I have only had the app for two days, so I cannot confirm content additions.
Overall, this may not be the best looking app, but it sure has a lot of spirit. It put me right into the mood for Halloween. I can’t wait to put on zombie makeup, make scary appetizers and show off my Halloween themed iPhone. At $1.99, it may seem a bit steep, but if content is updated regularly the price is worth it.
