Become The Greatest Fruit Ninja Warrior Ever In Fruit Ninja: Puss In Boots
Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots ($0.99) by Halfbrick Studios brings you more of that fruit slicing action that you so love, now with Puss in Boots, from the upcoming Dreamworks film.
For those that aren’t familiar with Fruit Ninja, the controls are as simple as they can be – just slice the fruit that comes up on the screen by swiping your finger on them. Don’t slice the bombs, or it’s game over.
With Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, the controls are the same. However, there are two game modes: Desperado and Bandito.
Desperado is essentially the classic game mode that we’ve grown to love in the original game. Slice as many fruits as you can for the highest score, while avoiding bombs and losing three fruits. However, the developers have decided to spice things up in this classic game mode by adding more fruit, unique waves, and the elusive Magic Beans from the movie. These magic beans will give you big bonuses, such as +25 to your score or even an extra life, so be on the lookout for them!
Bandito mode is a brand new mode, and it is basically a challenge mode. You must go through three acts, and then the finale. Each act has a randomized set of four challenges that you must beat to move on to the next act. Challenges are a mix of all-out slashing onslaughts to more precise obstacles. You have three hearts, and failing a challenge will knock a heart off. Fail three times, and it’s game over!
While playing, you will hear Puss in Boots every now and then, especially when landing a sweet combo, or even when a bomb blows up and splatters your screen with fruit juice. It just makes the game that much quirkier.
Just like in the original, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots also features an exclusive Stash. You will find awesome blades and backgrounds (with elements from the movie and the original Fruit Ninja) that you can unlock once you meet certain requirements.
Of course, no Fruit Ninja game would be complete without Game Center integration. There is full Game Center support in Puss in Boots edition, with overall and weekly leaderboards, and plenty of achievements to keep you busy for a while.
If you loved the first Fruit Ninja, then this version is just as satisfying. It’s available for $0.99 for the iPhone version and $1.99 for the HD iPad version.
Now get slashing! I need to go and continue my quest to be the greatest Fruit Ninja warrior ever, excuse me…
