SoundHound Goes To The Clouds

October 12, 2011
Beginning today, SoundHound is going to the clouds! The music recognition service is now utilizing Apple’s new iCloud service to keep track of a user’s history and bookmarks.  This new feature and more arrived with the app’s Version 4.1 update. Available exclusively through iOS 5, SoundHound’s new iCloud capability automatically syncs a user’s search history and bookmarks across all iDevices. For example, when you search for “The Black Eyed Peas” on your iPad, that same search is remembered and posted on your iPhone/iPod touch. Incredibly, this process is entirely seemless and requires no setup. As long as your iDevice is set up to use iCloud, you’re good to go. In addition, SoundHound also includes:
  • Full screen LiveLyrics (in the US and Canada): Go landscape to see big, beautiful LiveLyrics right in time with the music.
  • In-App Settings: Just tap the gear on the SoundHound home page. Now even easier to opt in to auto-share or listen on start!
  • Facebook and Twitter artist badges: when you see them, tap the artist's name for their latest social updates!
The universal SoundHound is available now in the App Store.
