The AppAdvice iPhone App Of The Week: Batch, Free, Released, October 25 Share Batches Of Photos Quickly With This New Photo Sharing App Batch by Batch, LLC is deemed as a simple way to share an album, or just a batch of photos to your friends and family directly from your phone. The first thing that Batch will ask is for a Facebook login. Unfortunately, this is the only way to use Batch – those that don’t have a Facebook account are unable to use the app. Facebook integration is used to find your friends that are also using Batch. Once you get in, the first thing you may want to try is to upload a batch of photos that are already on your device. Just select the album that you want to pull photos from, and select whichever ones you want (having people in them is preferred). When the photos are selected and you want to create the new batch, give it a name. Following that, you will be prompted to tag the people in the set of photos; the tagging is done in batches, so you cannot tag individual photos. New Releases Charles C. Gull, Free, Released October 25 Put Aside Your Manners To Wreak Havoc Above And Below With Charles C. Gull Charles C. Gull by Caleb Hystad is a great arcade game where you fly around with Charles, a jerk of a gull, who likes to go around causing a bit of mayhem in the skies and on the ground. By tapping the screen, you’ll make Charles flap his wings and fly upwards. If you press on the screen, he’ll glide and when you let go he’ll shoot upward with a quick boost in speed. The aim is to knock other, smaller, birds out of the sky and to knock over trash cans on the ground. The birds gain you one point and the trash cans two. Every 10 points, Charles will fly a little faster. You’ll have to be careful though, as pursuing each has its own dangers. Adobe Carousel, Free & Universal, Released October 26 Adobe Carousel Arrives One month after it was unveiled, Adobe’s highly anticipated Carousel application has arrived. The product uses the company’s Adobe Photoshop Lightroom technology to allow customers to access and edit their photos across various devices regardless of operating system. When customers import their photo library into Adobe Carousel, or take new photos using Adobe Carousel on an iDevice, those photos are automatically accessible on any supported device through a cloud. Once imported, any edits, deletions or additions to the library made on one device are automatically updated across all devices linked with the account. Best of all, Adobe Carousel requires no manual syncing or storage limitations. Updated Pocket God: Journey To Uranus, $.99 & Universal, Updated October 26 Battle The Undead And Other Horrors In Episode 6 Of Pocket God: Journey To Uranus It's not even Halloween and the zombie infestation is rising once again. It may seem like another day of pygmy watching, teasing, and torturing until you come across Graveyard Island. In episode six, Decapithon, of Pocket God: Journey To Uranus, you realize that Earth is suddenly being overrun by the undead and it is up to you to deal with this seemingly cursed island. The infection originates from another dimension, where a portal allows the infected pygmy to reach the Graveyard Island back on Earth. Graveyard Island has a few interesting characteristics. If you feel like a bit of twisted entertainment, bury a pygmy in the grave while still alive and he or she will be transformed into a mostly mindless zombie. Help your unturned islanders defend themselves by handing them the conveniently available axe. Squara, $.99, Updated October 28 Squara - Another Retro Square Photography App For Your iPhone Squara by misskiwi is another square format photo app for your iPhone. iPhone photography has been on the rise lately, and it doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon, especially with the awesome camera of the 4S. Another growing trend in iPhone photography is the square format for photos, made extremely popular by apps such as Hipstamatic and Instagram. While it may not work for everything, the square format does add a certain bit of charm to images, so it’s understandable why it continues to grow. And with that, we have a new contender in the square photo space – Squara.
