The app offers four attractive and distinct styles of clock, plus an additional one that can be purchased for $0.99. Each display is classy and elegant. The futuristic clock practically reflects your image back at you. The old time analog display will make you feel like you are in grandpa’s den. The digital timepiece looks just like the one I had growing up.
The real treat is the word clock. Each row lists a set of words that would be used when verbally stating the time. Starting with “It is,” the display highlights whatever words represent the current time. For example, the first four rows have the following words in them; it, is, half, ten, quarter, twenty, five, minutes, to, past, one and three. The current time highlights the following; "It is ten minutes past one."
This app is more than just a pretty clock. The current weather for your location is also displayed in the upper left corner. It can also be used as an alarm clock. There are nine preset sounds, such as “Old Alarm Clock,” “Get Funky,” and “Good Morning.” The app is iTunes integrated and will play any set of songs you choose from your device’s iTunes library. There is also a sleep timer. If you have trouble going to sleep to complete silence, or if you are trying to drown out the sound of your neighbor’s late night party, you can set the timer to play either white noise, or a selection of songs from your iTunes library. Set the timer to stop running in as little as one minute or as much as 24 hours. You can add multiple alarms and even add notes, like “I made some coffee for you.”
Overall, this universal app is perfect for anyone looking to replace their boring old alarm clock and wants great features at a reasonable price. At only $1.99, you couldn’t find an alarm clock for that little anywhere. With this app, you get four.
