AppAdvice has teamed up with Drippy Cat Software in order to offer you a chance to win one of five promo codes for Switchaball ($.99) for iPhone and iPod touch.
Switchaball is a unique action puzzle game that originally debuted on the iPad, but has been redone in order to fit the smaller screens of the iPhone and iPod touch. In the game you are simply required to drop balls down columns in hopes of getting them to land in the pipes at the bottom of the screen. It's not nearly as easy as it sounds, however, as there are all kinds of different mechanisms that will impede your progress.
The game board consists of a series of columns, and each column is numbered one through eight. Platforms, called switches, are also peppered throughout the board, some of which already have balls on them. These switches can hold balls, teleport them, change their color, and even multiply balls, which is where the challenge comes in.
You'll have to drop balls from the top of the screen by tapping on columns in order to get them safely to the pipes at the bottom, causing your life water to replenish. If two balls hit each other, one will be removed from the board, and since you have a limited number of balls to use, you'll want to be careful. If you waste too much time getting balls through the pipes, you'll run out of life water. Running out of life water causes the game to end.
Switchaball includes single and multiplayer game modes, and separate tutorials for both. The multiplayer mode is a turn-based affair where you must try and keep your life water from running out while trying to stop your opponent from replenishing their own.
