A Pig’s Dream HD, Physics-Based Puzzler That Is Sure To Be A Hit
A Pig's Dreams HD ($0.99) by XRay Soft. is an amazing iPad-only game that incorporates physics-based puzzling and arcade action into one fantastic roll in the hay. Everything about this game screams number one download in the App Store.
The goal is to help Ed the pig save his animal friends from the dastardly research lab where they are being tested on. Each level requires a certain number and combination of moves to get Ed to his friends’ cages. There are rolling barrels, tilting metal platforms, spikes, jumping dolphins and all manner of obstacles to keep Ed from freeing his friends. The physics dynamic is creative and, as levels progress, the puzzles becomes harder and harder to solve.
There are 75 levels across five different worlds. Each level gets harder and each world adds new obstacles. There is even a bonus 3D level that you can view with red-and-blue 3D glasses. There is nothing this pig can’t do.
The puzzles are challenging enough to keep you interested, but not so overwhelming that you’ll throw your iPad across the room in a fit of rage. There were times when I thought I would never figure out how to get Ed to his friend. Just when I had decided that I had made my last attempt, I made it through the course and helped a monkey escape. The satisfaction of completing the level put me back on track to try the next one.
Overall, this iPad-only app is fantastic fun and sure to be a big hit in the App Store. It incorporates physics-based puzzles with arcade style action for the perfect casual gaming hit. At a download price of only $0.99, there is no reason not to add this to your puzzler arsenal. Pick it up in the App Store.
