Apple Informs Staff What To Tell Customers About iPhone 4S Battery Issues, And Readies Software Fix For Public Release

iPhone 4S users having battery life issues with their new handset will soon be getting a fix, according to news made available today. Apple today issued memos to Apple Stores detailing how staff should handle customers that are experiencing iPhone 4S battery life issues. The memo, which was first made public by 9 To 5 Mac, essentially asks employees to tell affected customers to wait a few weeks until it releases a software fix and not replace the phones. That fix, iOS 5.0.1, was today released to a select group of customers who have complained about battery issues in iOS 5 through Apple’s AppleSeed program. This follows last Friday’s release of iOS 5.01 beta to developers. According to 9 To 5 Mac, in addition to offering the long-awaited iPhone 4S battery fix, iOS 5.0.1 includes Siri improvements for Australian users, multitasking gestures to the first generation iPad, and other bug fixes.
