Apple Releases iOS 5.0.1 - To Fix Your Battery Life

Apple moments ago released iOS 5.0.1 to the general public. The update, which primarily addresses iPhone 4S battery issues, is available over the air or via iTunes. Other features include:
  • Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
  • Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
  • Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
  • Contains security improvements
  To update over the air from your iDevice, go Settings > General > Software Update and then follow the directions.  This update is available for, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation) and iPod touch (3rd generation). This update also is said to resolve a dangerous security bug for those using a Smart Cover with an iPad 2, which was discussed on these pages a few weeks ago.
