Infinity Blade II Preview: Bigger and Badder

The original Infinity Blade was a benchmark in iOS gaming at the time of its release in late 2010. Now Epic Games and ChAIR return to the iOS platform looking to raise the bar once more with the upcoming Infinity Blade II.
IGN UK had a chance to get an early preview of the game before its December launch and the reports so far are looking good. Right off the bat Epic has addressed both major concerns from the first game, repetitiveness and lack of content.
The repetitiveness problem is addressed by added several new and distinct fighting styles to keep combat fresh throughout the entire campaign. Another thing IGN noticed was the much improved storytelling thanks in part to the voice-acted cut scenes that are spread throughout the game.
Another addition to the gameplay that is sure to make fans happy is an increase in the number of enemies they will face at any given time. ChAIR says when engadged in combat you will now see six enemies who better randomize their attacks making combat situations less predictable while doubling your fun (or pain).
The original Infinity Blade launched with just 10 combat enabled locations; the sequel looks to greatly improve on that number wtih 40! The intro locations being longer than the entire first game! I'd call that a improvement seeing as how you're getting three times more blade slashing fun.
Infinity Blade II will be released on December 1, however, no price has been announced yet. Also there is no word on device compatibility although if your current iDevice has an A5 chip inside, we think you should be just fine.
Of course, we'll keep you posted.
