The popular PC game, Minecraft, is now coming to an App Store near you. Minecraft: Pocket Edition has already made its way to the Android market and today it finally is released in the iTunes App Store.
This isn't one of many clones of the game already in the App Store; it's the real deal:
Though, being able to play this game anywhere sounds promising, I'm interested in seeing how well it can be controlled on a touch screen. Building many worlds seems to take much precision and care; I hope it can be pulled off. Already available in the New Zealand App Store and on the Android market, expect this addictive block-building game to be available for Europe and North America later today. Considering the price in the New Zealand store is $9.99, we presume it will be available to purchase at £4.99 and $6.99, respectively. Will you be playing Minecraft in line at the store, waiting at the doctor's office, and even in the bathroom? [gallery link="file"]
