Minor App Store Tweak Could Actually Prove Significant

November 18, 2011
Thursdays are typically the day Apple updates their “New and Noteworthy” and “Staff Favorites” sections in the App Store and today was no exception. However, the most significant change today, at least on the iPad, wasn't the revised list of apps, but rather how they are now presented, according to news first published by MacStories. Thanks to a minor tweak, visitors can now swipe to navigate between pages of apps, rather than hitting pesky arrow buttons. The result is a much quicker shopping experience. The new swipe functionality shows up on the Featured page under the New, What’s New and Release Date subpages. Unfortunately, the feature is not yet available for the Store’s Search and Purchased pages. However, we’re certain Apple will implement it across the entire App Store for iPad soon. What do you think of the App Store’s new look? Let us know by using the comments below. We thank MacStories for uncovering this important tweak!
