"Occupy" App Gives You Even More News On Growing Global Phenomenon
November 20, 2011
The "Occupy" protests mean different things to different people, but--regardless of which side of the moral, economic, and sociopolitical argument you're on--the movement is sure to be polarizing. Yet, after more than two months of camps and chants and outrage and eviction, the thing is perhaps growing somewhat long in the tooth.
However, if you still haven't had enough of the international event, there's finally a dedicated app to keep you up to speed on every detail of the philosophical struggle du jour.
Fittingly dubbed just Occupy, the app promises to provide users with a bevy of constantly-updated reports from a variety of sources. From the App Store description:
With Occupy (the app), you can follow the Occupy Wall Street Movement by the minute, you can track it spreading around the world map, follow the official (and unofficial) news feeds, the latest videos, the press, photos, chat, and a lot more. You can grab your own copy of the universal release for $0.99 on the App Store. But be warned: Your money may not go towards helping those on the Occupy front lines (as there's no indication of where such proceeds actually go). If true, that's a delicious bit of irony.
