Run For The Gold, GoGo Tunnel Runner Is On The Path
GoGo Tunnel Runner ($0.99) by BadBumble is a universal, auto-run, forward-scrolling arcade game that has you jumping for gold and dodging obstacles while running at the speed of “fast.” Hopefully, you don’t’ get claustrophobic because you’ll be trapped in these tunnels for a long time.
The goal is to keep running until you run out of life while picking up coins, gems and bonuses to help get you through the level. Your character runs as fast as his little legs will take him down a never ending tunnel filled with plenty of obstacles. Using tilt controls, maneuver your runner through the course. Tap anywhere on the screen to jump onto the center pole and run upside-down, collecting more coins.
There are two modes: Survival and Timed Trial. In Survival mode, the green stars make you go faster, the red stars slow you down and you can also hop on a bike that will drive you super fast taking some of the damage if you crash into an obstacle.
By collecting coins in Survival mode, additional levels can be unlocked. There are five different courses, the cheapest one costing 1,200 coins. The winnings are stackable. So, depending on how well you play, you could collect enough coins to unlock the next level fairly quickly.
Time Trial mode uses similar courses, but the only things to collect are green stars. The faster you make it through the course, the better your chances of coming in first place. GoGo Tunnel Runner is connected to Game Center, so you could potentially be number one in the world.
Overall, this forward-scrolling, universal arcade game is challenging and entertaining. It is easy to pick up and play for a few minutes or a few hours. The ability to unlock levels by collecting coins gives it great replay value. At only $0.99, this is a great buy. Pick it up in the App Store today.
