Shuffler.fm Music App Arrives For iPad
November 9, 2011
Shuffler.fm has announced the release of its new iPad app, which it is calling ‘Flipboard for Music.’ The free app is an audio magazine powered by music blogs and sites.
First available online as a webapp, Shuffler.fm creates a continuous music stream from music blogs from all over the world. It’s moniker is “the web is your player, bloggers your dj’s.”
Shuffler.fm includes numerous channels, each based on the type of music they provide. These range from the mundane (Classic Rock, Jazz, and Pop) to the more eclectic (Synthpop, Trip-Hop, and Chillwave.) Each channel is divided into sub-channels, which when selected, plays music and/or videos, depending on the source. Best of all, the music runs in the background.
