DOS Emulator Returns To The App Store

December 22, 2011
Apple's rigid app approval system can be quite unpredictable at times and when it comes to emulators in the App Store, there is never any certainty of whether or not they will stick around. Soon after the release of iMAME, iDOS made its return to the App Store under the name Aemula Oldies S (yeah, don't ask). The emulator which, has been pulled multiple times from the App Store, now comes with a brand new user interface and an easy-to-use virtual joypad. Furthermore Aemula Oldies S also features 10 awesome DOS titles including an all-time classic, The Prince of Persia.

We tried adding our own ROMs via iPhone Explorer, however, it was unsuccessful. We'll continue experimenting and let you know if we can find a way around this. The app is currently free and ad supported. We recommend you grab this as soon as possible because there's no telling when Apple will decide to pull the plug on it again.
