iOS Apps Gone Free: NFL Rivals, Jaggy Race, Pocket God Comics, And More

Represent your favorite NFL team by either scoring touchdowns on your opponent or stopping them before they ever reach the end zone in NaturalMotion's arcade sports game, NFL Rivals. We also have an extremely entertaining casual side-scrolling racer, and a comic book app based on the world of Pocket God.

iPhone:

MyRoute Safe Drive ($1.99 -> Free, 7.8 MB): Never get another speeding ticket again with this helpful navigation app. The HUD includes your current trip's elapsed time, distance traveled, longitude/latitude, pace, course, and speed, and allows you to set speed limit warnings for highway and street travel. You can also choose to receive voice speed warnings, and determine the distance you want to hear the warning at. Google Maps data is integrated into the top of the display as well.

gUnit - Currency & Unit Converter (Conversion) ($1.99 -> Free, 2.7 MB): If you don't have an iPhone 4S and Siri for your unit and currency conversion needs, then you need gUnit, a clean and simple utility app. Spin the dial in the middle of the screen to pick your category, and then spin the dials at the top to find the units you need to convert. You can also text search for categories and favorite them. The app includes over 330 units and currencies.

Robo5 ($0.99 -> Free, 39.8 MB): This action puzzle game has you guiding Robo5 through a series of block-based puzzles in order to help him discover who he is and why he's there. Just tap on blocks to move Robo5, and tap and drag blocks to reorder his path and get him to each exit as quickly as possible. You can also try to collect all of the special blocks in each level to earn a higher score. The game includes five chapters, 40 levels, hidden items, and Game Center integration.

Robo5 is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 27 ratings.

NFL Rivals ($0.99 -> Free, 43.7 MB): Represent your favorite NFL team in this arcade sports game. After you have chosen your team and customized your player, it's time to take the field. While on offense your objective is to try and score a touchdown, and while on defense your goal is to annihilate the ball carrier before he reaches the end zone. Both modes utilize touch and tilt controls. Before each game you can also apply different playing cards to earn bonus points. The game includes all 32 NFL teams, schedules that follow the actual NFL season, and Game Center integration.

FitnessOne ($0.99 -> Free, 15.9 MB): Keep the weight off this holiday season with this fitness app. It allows you to create custom daily workout plans that will guide you through your home and gym workouts for up to six months. Each of the 70 workouts were created by professionally certified personal trainers, and each provides you with photo, text, and video walkthroughs, so you know you'll always be performing them correctly. The app also allows you to break down workouts by type, build your perfect gym routine, and track your progress.

FitnessOne is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 24 ratings.

Universal:

Stupid Ninjas ($0.99 -> Free, 14.1 MB): Another physics-based puzzle game from the creators of Stupid Zombies. Your job is to remove all of the Stupid Ninjas from the screen by slicing them with your samurai sword and causing a chain reaction from the ninja stars attached to them. Each level has only one solution, but you can use and buy hints in-app if you get stuck. The game includes 180 levels, three-star ratings for each level, and Game Center integration.

Stupid Ninjas is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4-star rating with a total of 165 ratings.

Pocket God Comics ($0.99 -> Free, 15.5 MB): Follow the adventures of Ooga and the rest of the Pocket God pygmy tribe with this comic book app. The app comes pre-installed with the first issue in the series, which introduces the characters and details how their immortality has turned them into a bunch of pranksters. You can purchase the rest of the series in-app issue-by-issue or in bundles. The app also includes a comic book store finder, and a separate free Pygmy Peril series where you get to learn about the game's development and its fanatic fans.

Pocket God Comics is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 3339 ratings.

jAggy Race ($0.99 -> Free, 45.8 MB): An extremely entertaining casual side-scrolling racing game. Tap and hold on the button in the lower right side of the screen to make your little racing kart speed ahead, and tap right above that button to jump over obstacles. The 23 courses feature all kinds of crazy jumps and loops, so you'll also have to tilt your device to keep your kart right side up. The game also includes four different worlds, a tutorial, and Game Center integration.
