iOS Apps Gone Free: Trenches, Fotobookr, Line Art, And More

December 11, 2011

Deploy and command your troops in order to try and overwhelm the opposing forces in Thunder Game Works' military strategy game, Trenches. We also have a social networking app that allows you to quickly view Facebook photos, and a generative art app where you can use all 10 of your fingers (or toes).

All app prices are subject to change at any time and without notice regardless of stated free duration. Price changes are solely under the control of the developers.

iPhone:

Trenches ($0.99 -> Free, 40.8 MB): This military strategy game requires you to overwhelm your opponent's forces before they do the same to you by sending your troops into battle and then commanding them by drawing a path on the battlefield. Each group of soldiers has a chance to level-up by taking out more and more enemies, but they'll have to survive to do so. The game includes three modes, six maps, eight game types, loads of different units and special weapons, and Game Center integration.

Trenches is available for free today only (12/11). It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 20494 ratings.

MDWorkout.com ($4.99 -> Free, 177.8 MB): Work on your strength and conditioning with this fitness app. It includes an extensive library of strength, yoga, core, cardio/conditioning, and functional exercises, all of which are outlined and demonstrated by professional instructors through written instructions, photos, and video performances. The app also includes the ability to chart your nutritional intake, workouts, and body measurements.

MDWorkout.com is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 17 ratings.

Mr.Ninja ($0.99 -> Free, 9.2 MB): An arcade game where you play as Mr. Ninja, and you must try to get safely from spinning platform to spinning platform while also taking out as many enemies as possible. Tap the screen at just the right moment to fly through the air, and dice up the aliens between each platform by running into them to score huge combos. The game features a unique color scheme, three modes, and Game Center integration.

Mr.Ninja is available for free for a limited time. It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 3959 ratings.

Universal:

fotobookr ($1.99 -> Free, 2.1 MB): This super clean social networking app allows you to quickly look through photos that your friends have uploaded to Facebook over the last couple of days. Photos can be liked and commented on, and you can easily jump to another friend’s photos by swiping with two fingers. The app also features the ability to view your friends list, your own photo library, and photos you have liked.

fotobookr is available for free today only (12/11). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 31 ratings.

Line Art ($1.99 -> Free, 963.1 KB): A generative art app that allows you to create beautiful particle-based images by using all 10 of your fingers. Touch, swipe, and hold different combinations of your fingers on the screen to change the way the particles react to them. Turn on the Sticky Fingers mode to keep the particles flowing in your desired direction, allowing you to grab a screenshot. The app also includes VGA-out support, so you can see your works of art on the big screen.

Line Art is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 1736 ratings.
