Puzzles, Pencils Meet In Save The Pencil, Plus Win A Copy!
Save The Pencil ($0.99) by Perfect Dimension takes connect-the-dots to a new level.
Remember that game in school where you had to draw a house without lifting your pencil off of the paper? This game is essentially that, but with killer paper clips. Guide HB the pencil across different sheets of paper in search of stars to unlock further levels.
Gameplay is pretty simple. Start on a green dot, and finish on a red one. Yellow dots can be visited multiple times, but blue dots only get one shot. Every dot must be visited in order to successfully complete the level.
Different obstacles will get in the way, such as said paper clips (reminiscent of Clippy the Office Assistant), and end bosses (such as an even bigger paper clip, less reminiscent of Clippy the Office Assistant).
The game is filled with 60 different levels, spread across four different chapters (lined paper, square paper, graph paper, and loose leaf). Overall, the game is fun, though its enjoyment is limited. Trying to figure out HB’s path keeps the gameplay moving along, but continually bumping into irate paperclips gets old pretty quickly.
However, this game is a good fit for puzzle fans, and perhaps you will have better luck with it than I did. So go ahead and give it a shot. Speaking of which...
