TeleNav Frees Mobile GPS With Browser-Based Navi Suite

December 16, 2011
GPS giant TeleNav is hopping on the HTML5 bandwagon with plans to unveil a universally-compatible navigation suite for mobile devices. In addition to functioning as a standalone browser-based navigator, the groundbreaking solution is said to provide developers an easy way to add robust turn-by-turn content to any app, free of headaches and free of charge. TeleNav co-founder and VP Sal Dhanani explains (via TUAW):
With one line of code, you can give your customers one-click access to premium, voice-guided turn-by-turn directions to any location, including hotels, restaurants, merchants or deal locations. Customers never need to leave your app.
The service is set to go live in early 2012. [Image: intomobile.com]
