Apple's iOS 5 boosts Twitter signups 25%, Wolfram Alpha searches by 20x
Since iOS 5 and the iPhone 4S arrived in October, the number of Twitter signups has increased 25 percent, while Wolfram Alpha searches have increased by 20 times, according to Apple Insider.
Twitter integration is a top feature of iOS 5, while Wolfram Alpha is used extensively in Apple’s voice recognition system, Siri, which is available exclusively on the fifth-generation iPhone.
Apple Shows us Just How Cool Future iOS Devices Could Be
Patently Apple reports that future Apple devices may be cooled down using “monitoring thermal zones,” that “could drop the internal temperature as required to keep the exterior cool to the touch.”
This is also important because heat affects the accuracy of the gyroscope found in all iOS devices. On that point, Apple is shown to have reengineered their gyro so that it'll run cooler in the future. While we all know that Apple offers some of the coolest mobile devices in world today, Apple is now forecasting that they'll have even cooler devices in the future, literally.The Next iPad Will Launch In February -- Citi Don’t be tempted by the iPad 2 this holiday season. Instead, get ready for the iPad 3, which should hit stores sometime in February, according to a new Business Insider report that quotes Citi analyst Richard Gardner.
According to "several sources" the next iPad will launch in February, and it will sport a screen with double the resolution of the current model. Gardner says, "there do not appear to be any significant technical hurdles remaining" to prevent a launch of a high-resolution iPad, despite rumors to the contrary.Both the iPad (in 2010) and iPad 2 (2011) arrived in April. TweetDeck Releases HTML5-Based App In The Mac App Store Finally, Cult Of Mac reports that TweetDeck has released an HTML-based version of its popular Mac app in the Mac App Store.
