Today On Festivus: The Parrot AR Drone!
December 4, 2011
Festivus is now going stronger than ever and we can't tell you how thrilled we are with your great participation. Therefore, I'm excited to tell you that we have something even more thrilling for you today for day two: a Parrot AR Drone.
The AR Drone is an incredible, iOS-controlled Quadricopter. That's right, it has four rotors and it connects to Wi-Fi, so you can not only control it incredibly well, but also see what it sees thanks to two onboard cameras. That thing is sick, slick and it's as good as it gets. It works both outside, or inside thanks to a special cover that will keep the rotors from causing damage.
Best of all, the real thrill is that you can control it from iOS (or some other platforms that you probably haven't heard of, like Android), and that's probably the most amazing part. The app uses your iDevice's accelerometer to control the Parrot, which makes it incredibly fun (at least, we loved it), and it even allows you to play all sorts of games to keep the fun going.
Needless to say, it's going to be really hard to give this away, but we're going to do it. If you want a chance to win this beast, launch the AppAdvice app now on iPhone or iPad and sign up in the giveaway tab. If it's your first time, make sure to check out our guide on how to participate.
You can learn all about the Parrot AR Drone, and where to get it directly on Parrot's website.
Happy Festivus, and Good luck!
