But still, there is a market for this sort of app, and Photomash does exactly what it claims, and does it well. And, it’s universal, so purchase it once and use it on all of your iDevices.

So, first you snap a photo, or choose one from your photo library. Then you simply swipe to erase any part of the picture. You’ll see the camera view in the hole you’ve created, so then just snap a new photo when you’re ready, and presto, you’ve got a photomash!

Photomashing tips: Tap the paint brush to toggle on the Overlay Helper and adjust the size of your eraser. Pinch to zoom, tap the back arrow to erase previous strokes.

Swap heads with a friend, put your eyeball in the bottom of a coffee cup or the palm of your hand, the possibilities are endless. Additionally, there are a few templates in the app to add interest to your photos, like a giant hand stretching out. You can also create and save your own templates.

Tap the Challenge icon to bring up a list of challenges. Choose one, read the directions, and create your photomash as directed. Then, simply share your creation via email, Twitter, or Facebook to complete the challenge.
