Altec Lansing has been providing us with high quality, finely tuned speakers for nearly 75 years, and their products have only been improving with age.
The company’s new inAir 5000 is a premium AirPlay speaker that has 110 watts of power, two 1-inch soft-dome neodymium tweeters, two 3-inch Kevlar drivers, one 4-inch subwoofer, and one passive bass radiator.
In layman's terms, it’s loud and it sounds great, with a lower bass response and little to no distortion.
With the inAir 5000 and AirPlay, you can stream music from your computer, iPhone, or iPad to any room in the house without wires, and its minimalistic teardrop design is sure to fit into any décor.
The inAir 5000’s release date is dependent on approval from Apple, but it should be released before summer 2012. A price has yet to be announced, but keep an eye on the Altec Lansing website for more information.
