CES 2012: Geneva Launches Combined Home Theater And Hi-Fi Sound System

January 12, 2012
Geneva, makers of the acclaimed Geneva Sound System, have just launched a new line of high fidelity products for the home and on the go. Your quality audio experience has never looked so good. At this year’s CES, the company showed off its Geneva Sound System Model XXL, which doubles as a powerful home theater and a high fidelity music system. The cabinet’s sleek design is handmade from quality wood and finished to a polished shine with piano lacquer in your choice of red, black or white.

The Model XXL features Apple AirPlay for wireless streaming, as well as an iPod/iPhone docking station. It includes a built-in FM, DAB/DAB+ and DMB radio receiver and connects to your TV using HDMI. The sound system integrates a 618 watt digital amplifier, seven speakers and an 8 inch subwoofer. The cabinet itself acts as a platform for housing up to a 65 inch flat screen TV on top with interior storage space for game consoles, DVD players and other devices. Geneva’s newest home theater, the Sound System Model XXL, will be available for sale in winter of 2012. The price is currently unknown. For more information, please visit the company’s website at www.genevalab.com. Now, let’s go from furniture-sized home theaters to pocket-sized portable speakers with Geneva’s Model XS. One problem with many mobile Bluetooth speakers is the muddy or tinny sound quality that they produce. Geneva has solved that problem with the Model XS.

The lightweight portable sound system is small enough to fit inside a handbag, but the high fidelity speakers sound robust enough to fill a room. The XS includes two 1 inch tweeters and a woofer. The digital amplifier and stereo speakers play mid and high range frequencies with absolute accuracy.

The XS connects to any Bluetooth enabled device, but can also be connected using a 3.5 mm line-in cable. It features an FM tuner and an alarm clock and runs on a rechargeable lithium battery, which offers five hours of playback. The Geneva Sound System XS sells for $249 and is available now at participating retail stores. It can also be purchased from the company’s website.
