CES 2012: The Joy Factory Outs Three New Accessories

January 12, 2012
The Joy Factory, maker of all things mobile accessory, has introduced a trio of new products for its iDevice line. The Zip Mini Touch-n-go Multi-Charging Station ($49.95) offers up an award-winning combination of conductive charging and multi-device support in a small, sleek, attractive package. The set includes "ZipTail" attachments for standard micro-USB and Apple 30-pin plugs, which mount magnetically to the pucklike base. (Additional "ZipTail" adapters will be available for purchase through the manufacturer's website.) Speaking of magnets, The Joy Factory has also introduced its new MagConnect Mounting Solutions series of carbon fiber iPad support arms ($89.95). According to today's press release, this new version of the company's popular mount family features a
magnetic ball and socket [that] easily connects to the tablet case with a secure locking mechanism and works in sync with the articulated arm to rotate 360 degrees for greater viewing angles in landscape and portrait modes and retracts easily for quick storage.
For the trifecta, the company's new all-weather Paladin Waterproof & Rugged Case for iPad 2 ($100) protects your tablet in depths up to three feet for 30 minutes. Additionally, the case has been tested for compliance to the standard array of MIL-STD-810 specifications, so it's probably more ready for the outdoors than you are. Availability for all three products is pegged at Q1 2012.
