Create Digital Scrapbook Pages On Your iPad With Scrap It HD
January 30, 2012
Scrap It HD is a fun new app for digital scrapbooking on your iPad. Last year I reviewed the iPhone/iPod touch version of Scrap It, and I noted that it would be a lot more fun to use on the iPad. So, the developer created an iPad version, and it really is nice having the iPad screen’s extra real estate for this purpose. I also said that I thought the instructions could be better, and now both versions have a nice help section.
Start by tapping the scissors icon. Choose from dozens of different papers for your background. Now, choose photos from your photo library, and place them as desired. There are even a few fun effects you can add, as well as a colored border. Like all the embellishments in this app, moving the photos around, tilting and scaling them is quite intuitive, and frankly, fun. Add ribbons, bubble letters (from a selection of fun alphabets), text (the size, color, and font of your choice), and stickers. Long tap on any of these items to bring up a menu of functions including shadowing, bringing the item forward or back, or deleting it if you’ve changed your mind.
Once you’ve got everything just so, save the scrapbook page to your camera roll or share it via email or your social networks.
We’ve teamed with the developer to offer two promo codes for the iPad app, Scrap It HD. If you’d like to win one, simply comment below and tell me what you (would) like to create with your scrapbook pages! Contest ends on January 31 at 12:00 noon, EST. Good luck!
