dash.up ($0.99) by gr3p.labs is a Tumblr client that gives users easy access to almost everything they do in their Tumblr dashboard. Mobile blogging has never been so simple.

This social networking app is dedicated to offering users a convenient way to read and post to Tumblr. The navigation system is smooth and efficient. It works so well that it might even be simpler than Tumblr’s own dashboard.

When the app is first opened, users submit their account information and will then see posts from everyone they are following. They can read texts, watch video, “favorite” pictures, re-blog posts and share what they have discovered to Facebook or Twitter. To post something, users just access the dashboard feature and they can write texts, upload photos, enter quotes, link websites and more.

There are a couple of features missing from Dash.Up. First of all, there is no way of reading notes that are attached to others’ posts. If a friend posted a funny picture of a cat eating ice cream and there are 25 notes about it, they can’t be seen in this app. Another problem is that GIFs are not compatible with Dash.Up. They either show up as a stationary image, or they don’t show up at all. The app also runs a little slowly. The Tumblr feed takes a while to load and videos that are supposed to be viewable will, often times, not work.

Overall, even though there are a couple of missing features and the app tends to run a bit slow, this is a great Tumblr client with easy navigation. It is perfect for bloggers on the go who want to have quick access to their dashboard, including all of the posting features. Pick it up for only $0.99 in the App Store.
