Jailbreak Only: Add A Custom Background Photo To Siri

January 27, 2012
Let's face it, staring at Siri's metallic linen background while she "thinks" can get a little boring. Thanks to an aptly named jailbreak tweak called CustomSiriBackground, you can now change Siri's background to anything you have in your device's Camera Roll. You can find CustomSiriBackground for free in Cydia. Once installed, you have to set it up within the Settings app. It's very straightforward. You can enable or disable the tweak, have your images fill the screen (which hasn't made a difference for any of the photos I've tried), and choose an image from your Camera Roll or take a new one. The tweak takes effect immediately without the need to restart your device after every change.

The folks over at iDownloadBlog can walk you through it if you're having trouble.   Obviously, you need a jailbroken iPhone 4 or 4S to use this tweak. Thankfully, the iPhone 4S is now jailbreakable (along with the iPad 2). Personally, I don't use Siri often enough to use something like this, but at least from now on I'll see an awesome Darth Siri when I do. (via iDownloadBlog)
