Macworld 2012: Help Your iPhone Help You (To Get Drunk)

January 27, 2012
Apparently, the guys and gals at Spicebox LLC are celebrating Macworld 2012 the traditional way: with lots and lots of booze. So much booze, in fact, that they can't even open the bottles fast enough. Naturally, all those preservative-filled, fancy "imports" aren't screw-offs (even though they should), and it's hard keeping track of a tiny, pocketable bottle opener in such a bustling crowd of thirsty nerds. But your iPhone? That's always with you. Simply dress it up in one of Spicebox' two new cases, and crack that beer with confidence. Dubbed Intoxicase and Intoxicase Plus, both cases feature a sturdy, rear-mounted bottle opener. The former (basic) model sports its wares completely exposed, while the more expensive latter houses the mechanism in an elegant and recessed metal door system. The units retail for $35 and $45, but you can score them now for $25 and $35, respectively. As an added value, you can combine them with the free Intoxicase app. With it, says the product page,
you’ll be able to count how many bottles you popped, to play your favorite football team’s theme song (Go Wolverines!), find your car if you parked far from the bar, call a cab if you’ve had one too many, and, best of all, share that fact that you’re enjoying a cold one with the world!
Now, even when you leave your stupid flip-flops, hats, and board shorts at home like a rational and responsible adult human should, you can still carry a bottle opener with you wherever you go. Yay. Me, I'll stick to whatever's on tap. In Europe. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
