One Keyboard For Your Computer Or iPhone
January 22, 2012
Do you like the idea of using a keyboard with your iPhone or other iOS device? Matias has come out with a new keyboard called One Keyboard which allows you to connect to your Mac or PC, and iPhone all at the same time.
You can easily switch between the two with the push of a button on the One Keyboard. No more fumbling around with Bluetooth connections using your device settings.
There are three models to choose from: the Slim One Keyboard, the Standard One Keyboard and the Tactile One Keyboard. The Slim One Keyboard is small, slim and the iPhone or iPod touch sits on a dock off to the side on the “Minirizer.” This model costs $79.95.
The Standard One Keyboard is larger and provides s a dock for the iPhone or iPod touch right on the keyboard itself. This keyboard costs $99.95.
Finally, the granddaddy of them all is the $199.95 Tactile One Keyboard. Each key in this unit is built on an individual Alps mechanical switch, which is like the Apple Extended Keyboard. This allows a user to type faster and many prefer the feel. The dock for the iPhone or iPod touch is also located right on the keyboard. You will have to wait until May to get your fingertips on this one, as Matias is only taking preorders at this time.
The One Keyboard is not limited to just the iPhone or iPod touch. It can also accommodate the iPad, as well as Android and BlackBerry devices, using a standard Bluetooth connection.
All the keyboards have a USB 2.0 hub built in so you can plug in a mouse or flash drive. The keyboards are specifically made for either PC or Mac, so users will be familiar with the layout and function keys.
You can purchase the One Keyboard on the Matias website, or at many local retailers such as Best Buy, Staples or Micro Center. Click here for a complete list of retailers. If you have ever used the One Keyboard, let us know what you think in the comments below!
