Do You Know This Bottom Feeder?

What do you do when you see someone stealing an iPhone? In a civilized British manner, Matt Parker resorted to the use of a camera over his fists and recorded his confrontation with the thief.  While the guy got away, Parker was undaunted and posted the video on YouTube, asking anyone with information to contact the British Transport Police. On the night of Feb. 2, while Parker was headed home on the 00:09 train to Guildford, he noticed that an intoxicated girl had drifted away from her bags. When her phone rang inside one of the bags, the would-be thief joked to the other coach passengers, suggesting that someone should steal the phone. Parker took note, and when he saw the thief retrieve the white iPhone from the bag and walk away he took action.

"I was – to say the minimum – outraged." Parker stated on his blog.

    His video confrontation was not successful, the thief and the iPhone disappeared at the next stop. However, Parker has hopes the publication of the video will bring justice. A Mathematician at the University of London, this is not Parkers first run-in with an iPhone thief. Last year Parker sent another iPhone thief to jail after a yelling match which he describes in colorful detail on another YouTube video.

Parker jokingly admits that yelling at iPhone thieves is becoming a hobby. However in regards to the latest thief he is quite clear in his desire for justice. He implores anyone who might be able to identify the thief to contact the British Transport Police right away. We are impressed with Parker and his tenacity. With his commanding and suave style, the man truly deserves a sonic screwdriver to go with the classy take charge style.
