WorldCard HD - the Intelligent Business Card Manager ($14.99) by Penpower Technology Ltd. puts all of your contacts into a central location to easily access the information.
With many features available, including business card scanning, Google Map integration, contacts organization, and connections to social networking sites, this app certainly does a lot.
You can pull your existing contacts from either iCloud or Dropbox. Setting up all my contacts from iCloud was a breeze.
Once the contacts are in the app, you can easily edit them to add more information, or attach pictures from your photo album. Click on the share button to pull up a quick email to send them.
The search bar on the top will instantly pull up your contacts ny way you'd like to find them; last name, first name, area code, or even by state. A star icon above each name can also be selected to add that person to the favorites tab.
Or if you have a lot of favorites, you can easily create folders for assigning different contacts.
The maps feature is very handy. Instead of having to dig around to find the address of one of your contacts, you can just hit the map tab. All of your contacts that have addresses entered will show on a map. Select any one of them and driving directions, courtesy of Google Maps, will appear.
This is quite a versatile app that takes your Contacts app up a notch or 10. Is it worth $14.99? I'm not one to tell you how to spend your money, so I'll let you be the judge of that. Without an iPad 2, you're limited by not being able to take pictures, so that's something to consider.
I will say that I could see this app being helpful for business use (especially sales).
