This app for the true cinephile contains over 1000 multiple choice questions, 100 slide shows, and 4000 photos from the best movies over the years. Movie Awards Trivia is all about the Academy Awards, from the era of black and white films to the present.
Each trivia question give you four choices; your scores are tracked within the app. The faster you answer a question, the higher your score. After you respond, the correct answers are highlighted so you can learn as you play. Each of the possible answers includes a photo which can be blown up with a tap for your viewing enjoyment. You can challenge your friends via email or Facebook as well by sending them a question to see if they can answer it correctly.
This is not a game with a lot of bells and whistles, just a nice little game for the true film aficionado. Do check out their YouTube video and try the free version of the game to see if it’s something you’d really enjoy. There are separate apps for the iPad and the iPhone. Normally $2.99, the price of each version has been dropped to $.99 in honor of the upcoming Oscars, but only until February 26th.
