Apple is said to be readying the Gold Master build of iOS 5.1, according to a new report by Chronic Wire. A Gold Master is typically the final version of an application that eventually arrives for the public. This news comes one day before Apple is likely to unveil a new iPad and perhaps a new Apple TV. According to the report, iOS 5.1 Gold Master is 9B176. The version is rumored to include Japanese language support in Siri, as well as a different method to access the camera from the lock screen, among other goodies. Since January, developers have been testing iOS 5.1 Beta 3. However, this is the first time we’ve heard that the Gold Master was almost ready.
