Check Out The Billet Dock On Kickstarter

March 8, 2012
With a little over a month left, the Billet Dock is quite a long way from its $50,000 goal on Kickstarter. The Billet Dock, if funded, will have three variations: one for iPad, one for iPhone, and the "duplex" model that holds both. Each Billet Dock is CNC machined from a solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum. To accommodate cases, the Billet Dock uses a rotating cam pad that gives a continuous range of support settings, depending on your iPad's thickness. The acoustic resonance chamber built into each dock adds about 10 decibels of volume to your device. Docking and undocking can be done single-handedly. The Billet Dock will be available with five different finishes: matte aluminum, anodized pink, anodized black, anodized red, and anodized lime green (for the largest pledges made). I'm a sucker for nice docks. The Billet Dock's industrial look is enough to get me drooling. Single-handed docking and undocking is a huge plus for me. No more shaking your dock to get your iDevice free when you're running out the door. To make a pledge or get more information on the Billet Dock, visit Kickstarter. There is still over a month left until the Billet Dock gets funded. A $59 pledge will get you one for the iPhone, $69 for the iPad, and $115 for the duplex model. I still have to justify the price to myself, but will you be making a pledge?
