Discover For iPad Lacks New Features, Is More Of The Same
Discover For iPad® (Free) by Discover Financial Services is the long awaited iPad version of Discover's financial services app. This new iPad version is very similar to the preexisting iPhone app.
This app is for Discover card members and bank account holders. Users can login to either of these accounts through the app. Login and account information must first be created through www.discover.com.
The app allows users to view account summary, balance and payment information, available credit, cashback, and more. The iPad version has almost all the features that the website offers, making it the one-stop place for on the go credit card information. The only feature I wish had been included is the Spend Analyzer.
Discover bank customers can access their account summary and schedule transactions or transfer funds from within the app.
With a larger screen on the iPad, Discover has included more tabs for easy browsing. While the iPhone app only has five tabs, the iPad version has eight.
Both iPhone and iPad versions have very clean interfaces. Although Discover has taken a while to release their iPad app (compared to other financial services) this app is easy to use and worth the wait. Information is presented in a clear manner, great for all users.
Overall, the Discover for iPad app is a useful app for Discover card members or bank account holders. Although the features included are the same in both the iPhone and iPad versions, the extra space on the screen is much appreciated.
