First New iPad Pre-Orders Getting Shipping References

March 8, 2012
That was quick. Less than 24 hours after Apple announced the new iPad, the first of the pre-order buyers are receiving shipping references. Numerous AppAdvice readers are reporting that their new tablets are scheduled to arrive on March 16, the first day the iPad is available. The new iPad (and iPad 2) are sold in the US through the Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores, and select Apple Authorized Resellers, such as Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart. AT&T and Verizon Wireless are also selling the tablet. The iPad will also be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands on Friday, March 16. Customers can pre-order their new iPad now both online and in stores. If you have ordered a third generation iPad and have received a shipping notification, we’d like to know. Please tell use where and when you ordered your iPad.
