Meet Hero Academy's Latest Team, The Tribe!

I have made it no secret that I am a big fan of Hero Academy. The hugely popular title from Robot Entertainment has been going strong since its release. I've played this game every day since release, and I'm still awful at it! For the many of you still enjoying Hero Academy, I have some great news to share with you. Robot Entertainment has announced that both another new team and a universal update will be available very soon. Hero Academy will be optimized for iPad users. The update will bring with it higher resolution graphics and, of course, more screen space to work with. I've been playing Hero Academy on my new iPad at 2x size which, while still pretty decent, is clearly not ideal, so I can't wait for this update. The update will also introduce us to a new playable team, The Tribe. The Tribe, hailing from harsh wastelands, are a fierce group with some great sounding units:

• Warrior - Can instantly knock out any enemy until below 50 percent health (and crystals at 25 percent health).
• Axe Thrower - Can deal 100 extra damage to enemies over 50 percent health.
• Witch - Can explode fallen enemies at range to damage nearby forces.
• Shaman - Can chain heals through multiple allies.
• Chieftan - The Tribe Super Unit is an AOE fighter who can pull enemies in closer or charge to attack distant foes.

  The Tribe sound like they are going to be a blast to play, and are a far more offensive team, than the Dwarves who were introduced in the last update. Along with the new team there will, as always, be new avatar packs available for purchase and a new playing field. The new playing field introduces "barbed crystals" that can damage nearby enemies and "magical defense premium squares." Are you still playing Hero Academy?
