Mole Kingdom Burrows Into The App Store

Last year, NimbleBit found themselves with a surprise hit on their hands. That hit was Tiny Tower. The game seemed to explode overnight and, almost single handedly, created the tower simulation genre.

What could possibly be done to Tiny Tower to make it even better? How about swapping the little pixel people wandering around out for moles? And then replacing the tower block with an underground mole kingdom? No, I haven't gone insane, I've just found Mole Kingdom ($0.99) from InfiGames.

Mole Kingdom quite nice, visually and features enough game play elements to keep you going for some time. According to the App Store description, Mole Kingdom features:

• Nine kinds of moles with different features (varying colors)
• 12 beautiful palaces - High level palace can make you earn coins and xps quickly
• 48 kinds of apartments
• 10 different kinds of farms and mines
• 18 kinds of businesses including pubs, libraries and shops
• More than 200 challenge quests

While Mole Kingdom isn't free, it does include a freemium type model with extras being available for purchase in-app. I hate in-app purchases, and freemium models in general, and I certainly don't like this employed in a game you need to buy in the first place. Do any of you still play Tiny Tower? Will Mole Kingdom tear you away from your beloved tower?
