In contrast to being frustrated with yesterday's app, I was happily entertained by today's game of Bubblin. It's a simple game of avoiding the red bubbles while collecting the blue bubbles and green bubbles. The red ones will blow you up. It will pop your bubble. It will burst your dreams. Well, not the last one, but the first two still apply.
The game starts out as a small, blue bubble wandering in a void of space. Soon, the space becomes filled with other flowing bubbles of blue, red or green. Navigate your blue bubble by tilting your device in the direction you want it to go. Collecting blue bubbles will make you bigger. This makes avoiding the red bubbles even harder. The green ones become more necessary at this point. They explode the red bubbles.
The score is displayed on the background. As time goes by, the score continues to decrease at a steady rate. So, floating around without getting any bigger isn't a valid strategy. You'll end up with a score of zero. Rank is determined by score, not by how many bubbles you've collected. In a pinch, there are streams of bubbles that shoot through the screen. Finding one of these jets and gliding through it will give your score a boost.
The game gets more difficult by the end of each round by darkening the screen. The only thing you can see is a small circle of light around your bubble.
