Quirky App Of The Day: Douchebag Jar

When I was younger, my mom had a "bad words" jar for all of us who were under the age of 20. Otherwise, my father would have dramatically increased the amount in the jar with one flat tire. Unfortunately, it wasn't the regular swear words that we got in trouble for. I wish it was. Otherwise, I would have plopped in a five dollar bill and let loose after school some days. No, it was lame words like "shut up" and "poop." Boring stuff compared to the more colorful language of today's taboo words. Douchebag Jar covers not only dirty swears, but any jerkish behavior that is unacceptable.
I wish that unbelievable acts of devilish proportions were regularly fined. There would no longer be any rude drivers taking up two parking spaces or leaving little to no room to get into your car. People wouldn't spit in other people's food. You would never again have to figure out how to handle the situation of the toilet paper dispenser being left empty. This app fills that gap, so long as you and your friends are willing to play along. The app requires registration, but it's nothing difficult. Once you're signed in, you can create your own jar or join others. If you create your own jar and want your friends to join it there's a pin for you to give out. Random people can't join your jar and start doling out fines. Once people have joined, you can charge fines to those who are being mean and thoughtless. It could be anything from the language that they use to their actions. You then assign the appropriate amount of money for the infraction, and everyone settles on a pay-out date when the fines are due. However, since this is all about bad behavior, I suppose the worst thing someone could do is refuse to pay the fines after being a complete jerk to everyone.
