Brand new ski racing game, Ski Champions, has shredded its way into the App Store. Best of all, the entire game is available for free! The app launches just in time to remind me that my ski season has, sadly, come to an end. Ski Champion is a racing game, with the player's objective being to pass through all the gates as fast as possible. Generally, this is achieved by riding as close to the gates as possible, and even smacking directly into them. In fact, players will receive a time bonus for each gate they nail perfectly.
Upon completing a level, players receive a medal for their time, ranging from bronze to gold. As gamers play through the levels they will unlock new mountains on which to compete. There are 14 different slopes in the game for players to perfect their racing skills.
The controls are tilt based. All the player needs to worry about is tilting their phone to make sure the racer travels through the gates at the optimal speed. Be careful, getting too close to the gate will cause a high-speed crash. While it is funny to watch the skier flip down the mountain, a crash will not help with achieving a fantastic time through the course and will cause the player to start at the beginning. The controls are responsive and easy to pick up. Shaving valuable seconds off your time will take some skill and precision, and that is what Majaka hopes will keep gamers consistently coming back for more.
Ski Champion uses Game Center, so players can compete with their friends to try to achieve the best times. Your friends don't have Ski Champion? Fear not, because you can use the app to send them a text message or email with a link to the free app. Ski Champion is available right now, for free, in the App Store.
