The New iPad Teardown (Updated)

The launch of a new Apple product wouldn’t be complete without iFixit’s teardown of the device. Now, the new iPad teardown has arrived, and we’ve got some of the highlights.
Performed at Macfixit Australia, the teardown, not surprisingly, identifies what makes the new iPad special.
This includes: Apple’s first dual-core A5X processor; a 9.7 inch LED backlit in-plan switching LCD with 2048 X 1536 pixel Retina display; Quad-core PowerVR SGX MP4+; 16, 32 or 64 GB flash memory; and 5 MP HD rear-facing camera.

Unfortunately for Australian residents, the 16GB Wi-Fi + 4G new iPad will only operate at speeds up to 3G. In other words, the tablet isn’t compatible with Australian 4G LTE networks.
Here’s the real panel, which looks a lot like the iPad 2, huh. No worries, the screen is much different!
Oh goodness! It's so beautiful! Even turned off, the 2048×1536 pixel "Retina Display" seems to radiate with colors one could not even begin to imagine.Let us go inside: First, it should be noted the display connectors in the iPad 2 and the new iPad are different, meaning the two displays are incompatible. The model numbers inside suggest the 9.7-inch LCD display is indeed made by Samsung. In addition, IFixit states that the new iPad includes a 11,560 mAh battery.
