Top Five New iPad Cases

March 16, 2012
Earlier this week we gave you a sneak peek at some hot new cases for the iPad, but now that the new iPad is officially here, we've compiled a list of must-have cases that get the AppAdvice seal of approval. Whether your iPad will be your mobile workstation, substitute notebook, or on-the-go entertainment center, these five cases should suit your needs (or at least point you in the right direction). Case Genius by ZooGue ($49.99) This all-in-one leather case works as a multi-angle stand, in-car headrest mount, and wrist strap. Its cover also utilizes the iPad's sleep/wake functionality. This case can do it all. Available in black, pink, and gray. ClamCase by ClamCase ($149) The ClamCase offers exceptional functionality and protection to your new iPad. Its slim laptop-esque QWERTY keyboard features additional keys that allow you to copy, paste, control your music, and more. This case can be used to display your iPad in many different positions, or you can fold it back on itself to use your iPad in its portrait position. Available in matte black. IntelliCase Folio Stand by Griffin ($59.99) The IntelliCase Folio Stand protects the back of your new iPad with polycarbonate, while a flexible TPU protects your screen. This case also uses built-in magnets to utilize your iPad's sleep/wake functionality. Fold the cover back to prop up your iPad, or use it as a keyboard stand. Available in three different colors. UnderGROUND Felt Sleeve Case by Incipio ($29.99) For those that don't need the full protection of a dedicated case, the UnderGROUND Felt Sleeve Case offers suede inner-lining with a felt exterior to provide a professional look. Your iPad will stay protected (and clean) between destinations. This case keeps it classy. Available in charcoal. Smart Cover by Apple (Starting at $39) Of course, we couldn't leave out the original. Offered in leather and polyurethane, Apple's Smart Cover protects the front of your iPad with a magnetic connection. It wakes your iPad when opened, and vice versa. A little known fact is that you can use your Smart Cover to attach your iPad to a refrigerator (I'm not responsible for any damage that may occur and I never had any problems with it). Available in several different colors. That's it, guys! Enjoy your new iPads and keep them safe and sound. Do you have any cases in mind that should've made this list?
