Violet Storm Erupts Into The iOS Store
March 29, 2012
Some iOS games, such as Chaos Rings II, try to take the player on an epic adventure. Some, on the other hand, just try to put some raw destructive power in the hands of the player, and let them unleash hell.
Violet Storm ($0.99), from Sad Cat Software, is very much in the latter category. Violet Storm is a vector based dual-stick shooter, in the same vein as Geometry Wars: Touch featuring some great glowing neon graphics and a pumping techno soundtrack.
If you are not familiar with dual-stick shooters or the Geometry Wars style graphics, a handy gameplay trailer has been produced to show you what Violet Storm is all about:

- Lots of power ups
- Three different gameplay modes
- Universal support with Retina ready graphics for the iPhone 4 / 4S
- Autosave
- Varying difficulty settings
- Game Center support
