Haven’t found that perfect news app for you? Just want a quick review of the stories making news right now? Say hello to MustKnow News, a new iPhone/iPod touch app from the makers of Hitpad.
Available for $1.99, MustKnow News will remind many of Dorling Kindersley’s popular Eyewitness travel books, in that it presents the Top-10 most important news stories of the hour, in a range of categories. Each is presented using a combination of photos and text.
Currently, the app includes editions covering U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and Japan. Each edition has several categories including: national news, politics, world news, elections (in the U.S. edition), and technology.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to pay an additional $1.99 to gain business, sports, entertainment, and health news, since those are only available through an in-app purchase.

MustKnow News is stylish, quick to load, and looks absolutely amazing on the iPhone’s Retina display. Still, we hope an app update will eliminate the need to make an in-app purchase for additional content, or the apps' developer should raise the price accordingly. MustKnow News is available now in the App Store.
