Pocket Heroes Coming Soon to iOS

Pocket Heroes Coming Soon to iOS

April 5, 2012
Asynchronous multiplayer gaming has become hugely popular recently with titles such as Hero Academy and Draw Something building up a huge fan base between them. Indie developer F5 Games is hoping to take advantage of this popular sub-genre. They are working on a new asynchronous game, called Pocket Heroes. F5 Games is pitching Pocket Heroes as "the first turn-based multiplayer RPG for mobile devices" and it looks like a very interesting proposition. Pocket Heroes will be an online only game which sees each player controlling a different party member and taking turns to make their move across the game world. The team has released a short trailer for Pocket Heroes, which may help to explain their vision: If you cannot view the embedded video above, it can also be viewed by clicking here. Pocket Heroes sounds like a fantastic idea, but it's quite an ambitious project. A project I'm really excited about trying out however. It's unclear if you are able to group up with strangers or only invite people directly at this point. Pocket Heroes is scheduled for release on May 11 for just $1.99. The game will launch with five classes. The available classes include some RPG classics such as the: Rogue, Priestess, and Paladin.
