Night Ride ($0.99) by criistii is a sci-fi endless runner, or should I say rider, game that will have you popping wheelies in the middle of the night. Race down this Tron-like highway as you practice your maneuvering skills.
Players control a fast moving motorcycle and must travel down a straight highway, avoiding obstacles while collecting points and power ups. The faster you go, the sooner you will level up, but the more likely it is that you will crash.
To level up, players must unlock achievements. Some types of achievements include collecting 20 atoms in one session or driving on 10 accelerators in one session. There are also bonus power ups like a laser shooter or invulnerability. Use power ups to help get though the more complex parts of the course.
As players unlock more achievements, the game becomes more difficult to play. Obstacles become more prevalent and start to move around more. It quickly becomes a serious challenge to get through the course.
This game is exciting and challenging. It made my palms sweat and my heart race as I was playing it. Because there is no end to the course, the longer you are on the road, the more intense your anxiety gets. Players looking for a fast-paced endless runner that will keep you on your toes should definitely add this game to their arsenal.
