Endless War, from Omnitel, is a great iPhone-only bullet hell shooter that shoot ‘em up fans will want to check out. In the year 2132, the denizens of earth exhausted their resources in a non-stop war, and set out into space in search of a new home. When they came across an alien species, mankind unsuccessfully waged war once more, and became slaves to the more advanced alien race. Endless War takes place thirty years after these events, in 2162, a time when mankind has finally built up the resources to revolt against the alien overlords. This game provides fast-paced, endless shooting action against swarms of alien ships that attack from all directions. Your gun will automatically fire, and as in most bullet hell shooters, dodging the flurry of weapon attacks is the key to survival.

There are three different aircraft to choose from, each of which can be upgraded in different ways, plus a slew of weapons, including four types of primary weapons like machine guns and plasma guns, and two expanded arms that fire missiles and guided lasers. Touch and drag controls make dodging a painless task, though it’s still a challenge to keep up with the never ending stream of enemies and projectiles. Special items will help you with boss attacks, and Open Feint support provides a 24-hour ranking system.
